Meet the Veterinarians & Team of Deer-Grove Veterinary Clinic in Cottage Grove, WI! Our mission is to provide the highest quality medical and surgical care to our patients and to help educate our clients so that they understand their pets needs and care. Tom Zelenski, DVM
Medical Director
Dr. Zelenski obtained his DVM from the University of Wisconsin School for Veterinary Medicine in May 2011. He has interests in pain management including integrative medicine modalities like acupuncture, laser therapy, and nutritional management. He is also has interests in internal medicine and dentistry, and is certified in Veterinary Medical Acupuncture. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association, and Dane County Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Zelenski enjoys spending his free time with his wife, two daughters, and son, as well as his Great Dane Franz and cat Slick.
C Steven Frame, DVM
Veterinarian
Graduated from University of Missouri‘s School of Veterinary Medicine in 1984 and has been at Deer-Grove since 1985. He specializes in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, and does all the Tibial Tuberosity Advancement (TTA) surgeries at Deer-Grove Veterinary Clinic. A member of the Veterinary Information Network, he believes it’s important to always push yourself to continue learning because there is always a new way to approach old problems. Erin Pecore, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Pecore obtained her DVM from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in May 2010. Her interests include surgery, client communication, and weight management. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association. Outside of work, Dr. Erin enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys horseback riding, reading, and watching movies.
Maren Raab, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Raab obtained her DVM from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in May 2016. Her interests include dermatology, surgery, and exotic mammals. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Association of Small Ruminant Practitioners. When not working, she can often be found baking, gardening, searching for the best local coffee shop, or hanging out with her French bulldog Tater Tot.
Kristin, CVT
Hospital Administrator
Kristin has been working at Deer-Grove Veterinary Clinic since May 2008. She has over 20 years of veterinary clinic experience as well as a Bachelor’s degree in biology from UW-Platteville. Her favorite part of her job is working with animals and seeing something different every day. Kristin lives with her husband, two children, cat (Monty), and leopard gecko (Scooter).
Logan, CVT
Logan, our Lead CVT, graduated from Madison Area Technical College in May of 2007. He has been with Deer-Grove Veterinary Clinic since September of 2009 and very much likes the exposure that working in a busy companion animal clinic brings. From performing dental exams and cleanings, to assisting with specialty surgeries, Logan is enjoying providing excellent animal care with many fun and enthusiastic people who feel the same way towards animal health. He previously worked for the Department of Natural Resources in the Fish and Wildlife Health Labs, where he appreciated another aspect of animal care, but is very glad to be back in a clinic helping out companion animals.
Sarah, CVT
Sarah started out her career as a Veterinary assistant in June 2010. She learned much on the job and decided to become a CVT. She passed the VTNE in 2014. Sarah started at Deer-Grove in September 2020. She lives in Deerfield with her husband and two sons. She enjoys working out, running, and spending time with her family.
Kayla, CVT
Kayla graduated from Madison College in 2014 from the Veterinary Technician program. She joined the Deer-Grove team in October of 2017. Kayla lives with her husband and two dogs Brewer and Lucy. In her free time she likes to go to her family cabin in Rhinelander. She enjoys spending time her family, kayaking and fishing.
Toni, CVT
Toni graduated from Madison College in 2017 and then worked at the UW Veterinary Teaching Hospital as an overnight technician in the large animal hospital. She learned a lot working with horses, pigs, cows, goats, and even the occasional camel! However, she knew that her passion was always with dogs and cats, and started working for Deer-Grove in June 2019. She has four cats at home, Thanatos, Bahamut, Zeus, and Nyx! An avid gamer, she can be found playing games with friends late into the night, but also enjoys walks and swimming.
Sydney, CVT
Sydney joined the Deer-Grove team in May of this 2021. She graduated from Madison College in 2020 but has been working in the veterinary medicine field for 4 years.
Sydney lives in Cottage Grove with her husband & 2 dogs – Jax & Lady. In her spare time she enjoys reading, watching movies, & going on adventures with the dogs.
Hannah
Assistant
After living and teaching in Florida for a few years, Hannah recently moved back to her home state of Wisconsin. She joined the Deer-Grove team in September of 2020 and lives in Waterloo with her dog Doug. In her free time she enjoys bargain shopping, watching scary movies and reality TV shows.
Brittnee
Customer Service Representative
Brittnee joined the Deer-Grove team in February 2022. She has a degree in Business Management and Radiography but found her love for animals was her true calling. Brittnee lives in Madison with her husband Jeremy & 4 furry kids – Stella, Flynn, Binx and Maverick. In her spare time she enjoys watching movies, painting by number, taking vacations to new places and spending time with her husband and kittens!
Aven
CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
Aven has spent her childhood moving to 7 different states, but she has finally found a home in Stoughton, Wisconsin. She intends to attend MATC for the Vet Tech program. Aven started working at the Deer Grove Vet Clinic to be around animals to help further her career as a vet tech. She owns 3 dogs, Chief, Stevie and Dante.

The love I have for my dogs is what brought me to the clinic to start my career here. I live in Marshall with my partner Max and our fur babies, Floyd and Baby. In my free time I enjoy riding motorcycles, going on walks with my dogs, racing, and spending time with my family and friends.
